Moscow. Press-conference. Music. Combined orchestra of “Expedition” performs the hymn of Ruyan-city for the first time. The group of “Expedition-Trophy” organizers and Ruyan-City builders tells about aims of the project for TV cameras, newspapers and radio stations of the world. We plan to drive across the whole continent from the Pacific Ocean to the Arctic Ocean, from Vladivostok to Murmansk. We plan to invite all active and alive people, whom we will meet along our rout to visit our young city. This is a way we are building our city. On the start line, on the other part of the world, automobiles are already waiting for us. Our drivers are making them ready. The command center of the race is gathering guests for our presentation. Farewell ceremony is in Moscow. Music. Handshakes. Wishes. Out of Aeroflot plane window you can see a chain of lights bellow on the ground along the whole route. On the places, wh ere are no cities, there are flare systems of oil wells in tundra and taiga. Winter is on Earth, and it seams there is not force in the Universe to move it and to melt ice.

Vladivostok. Soft snow. Mountains of things. We are preparing the event. We were invited to perform in the Library of the Far Eastern Federal State University – the foothold of education in the Far East. People are building their life here. They are building two huge bridges. They are building new houses on the Russky Island. The large scale construction and lots of builders, who have come here lift self-esteem of proud Vladivostok inhabitants even higher. Patience of people, who live hear will conquer traffic jams on the streets, crooked housing development and stereotypes of outsiders. Strong men, beautiful women will give a head start to many modern surrogate post-colonial cities and even cities of Southeast Asia. In such circumstances we had to tell about Ruyan-City. People listen to us and wished us good luck. Some people silently hinted that they have enough things to do without us. Some people, not remembering the story of Port-Arthur, never thought, that the history of country could be influenced from the Far East and Siberia. It seemed to me, that there was no need to prove something with words to these people. Thanks a lot for warm farewell near the Lighthouse.
