BIRTHAY OF EXPEDIITON
This summer business community will celebrate a great anniversary. Tomorrow, June 14th is a 10 years anniversary of opening “Expedition. Northern cuisine” restaurant in Moscow – this date is considered to be a birthday of the homonymous brand. The anniversary is really great, as one year in “Expedition” goes for two, or even for three, so it appears, that the age is rather considerable.
For these 10 years we achieved many victories. We learned how to organize such large-scale projects, that nobody but us can or want to make. The first project was an emblematic restaurant “Expedition”, which was opened on June 14th, 2002. It was opened after just another expedition in the Arctic Polar Region, when the helicopter by mistake dropped off the future “Expedition” team in the wrong place and earlier then needed. For four days without food and drink people tried to reach to place where they would be picked up and wondered, who locals manage to survive there. It was exactly the time when idea to create a restaurant of Northern cuisine was born, dishes of indigenous Northern peoples, cooked out of traditional products would be served in it.
Success of the restaurant has predetermined the fate of future initiatives. Today restaurants “Expedition. Northern cuisine” operate in Moscow, Novosibirsk and Minsk. Goods under “Expedition” brand have made the company a leader in the world market of emotional goods.
One more big international project – “Expedition” shops network, it embraces now about 300 separate shops in Russia and abroad. “Expedition” shops develop under franchise scheme, there are also own shops.
In 2004 “Expedition” team, leaded by Alexander Kravtsov made a route of the legendary SUVs race “Expedition-Trophy”. Since that time the race is traditionally held from February 23d till March 8th throughout the whole Russia, from the very first year it has become a legendary adventure and an international humanitarian project.
In 2007-2008 “Expedition” proved again, that there was no borders and turned into reality a round-the-world project Expedition Around the World. During a year crews in orange SUVs drove across Northern and Southern America, Europe and Russia.
The project started on March 8th, 2007 in Vladivostok – helicopters lifted SUVs with steel hawsers and brought them away far behind the horizon. Precisely after one year the project finished at the same place – near the lighthouse, in the Golden Horn Bay.
And certainly, the main humanitarian project – building of the city in Siberia. In 2010 in Kozhevnichesky district of Tomsk region a foundation stone was laid in construction of Ruyan-city. Today the Ruyan-Invest club operates in the city,
festivals, strategic sessions, business-meetings are conducted there, people come here to work, to rest and to get empowered with the energy of this powerful place.
“Expedition” has lots of plans for future, as usual. Among the nearest prospects – construction of a picnic-hotel in Moscow region, active development on the other continents and… celebration of the anniversary, which will be marked with a beauty-contest “Miss Expedition” The final round of the contest will be held on June 14th at 6pm in banquet-complex “Nemchinovka-park” (address in printed on the invitations).
12 participants will compete for the main prize – a trip to the Caribbean. Preparation to the contest is conducted at the highest level – choreographs work with each girl individually, images, attires, makeups and hairstyles have been picked up. “It is great to watch how the girls try to do their best — they are performing tasks in a very responsible manner, many of them are on diet, improving their shapes. Some of them ordered dresses from designers, some – decided to make scenery image with their own hands. Very special girls indeed work in our company – they are not only strong and ambitious, they are very beautiful and talented!” — tells Marina Korchagina, one of the organizers of the event.
Certainly, we will not forget about our men! 6 contestants will compete in oratorical skills within a fiction narrative contest. The winner will be awarded with a prize – Kenya Safari tour.
